About Me

I have 10 years technology experience with a focus on the web and Microsoft development platforms such as .NET, ASP.NET, VBScript, SQL Server and more. I am passionate about technology and enjoy helping people and organizations forge towards success.

Objective

To empower businesses, organizations and individuals with the technology they need to be successful and acheive their goals.

Professional Experience

Lead Software Engineer
JamBase, Inc; San Francisco, CA
Oct 2006 - May 2010
  • Developed an incredibly critical internal suite of applications resulting in a 300% increase in concert event listings as my first project.
  • Serving as the sole in-house engineer, I was responsible for leading a team of contract developers to rebuild JamBase.com from scratch in ASP.NET 2.0 using C# and SQL Server.
  • Fulfilling multiple roles including server administrator, DBA, architect, developer, writer, tester, trainer and manager, I was responsible for the success of many projects and features that are used by nearly one million public users.
  • Conceptualized and developed new technologies that automated or streamlined time consuming processes, many of which were built without direction in my free time.
  • Located and managed multiple offshore developers and development teams to successfully build and launch several products.
  • Improved and enforced better software development practices including design, specifications, deployment, maintenance, source control, testing and proven software patterns.
  • Designed, architected and built a full-text search index using Lucene.NET, a popular open source search framework, to allow for searching artists, venues, locations, festivals, articles, users and more.
  • Architected, designed, built and maintained a full ticketing integration that included several 3rd party API’s such as Ticketmaster, Live Nation, TicketsNow plus nearly a dozen more.
